About Me
Musician Bio and Mission Statement
Matt Wilson is a professional musician, composer, and educator. As a drummer, Matt has toured coast to coast across the United States, performed internationally with the high-profile party band Modern Retrospect, and shared the stage with renowned artists such as John Popper of Blues Traveler and DJ Logic.
In addition to his drumming skills, Matt is also an accomplished composer and multi-instrumentalist. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Composition from the University of Utah. Matt has also served as a band director and head drum instructor at Rock University and The Daybreak School of Music.
As an educator, Matt aims to empower students by helping them reach their musical goals. There is no one size fits all approach when it comes to learning music, so he tailors every lesson to each individual student. Whether this is your first time sitting at a drum kit, or if you are a seasoned professional with years of experience, Matt will help you hone your skills and realize accomplishments you once thought were impossible!
